Recover the cart, confirm the COD order, answer "where is my parcel".
Built for Indian D2C, where abandoned carts and cash-on-delivery returns are the two holes in the bucket. The agent works both on WhatsApp — confirming COD orders before they ship and bringing carts back — and takes the support load off your inbox.
We ask for 30 minutes first — we cannot price a build we have not seen inside. No obligation, and you keep the scope either way.

An AI sales agent for Shopify stores in India has two jobs that matter more than everything else combined: bringing back the abandoned cart, and confirming the cash-on-delivery order before it ships. This build is WhatsApp automation for Shopify and WooCommerce covering both, plus the order-status messages that otherwise flood support. Among AI agents for D2C brands it is deliberately narrow — recovery, confirmation, support deflection — because those are the three places Indian D2C actually loses money. COD confirmation on WhatsApp and abandoned cart recovery on WhatsApp in India are the two flows that pay for the build; the rest of an ecommerce WhatsApp chatbot in India is support deflection.
Where Indian D2C actually loses money
Carts fill and empty all day
Someone adds to cart, gets distracted, and never comes back. The ad spend that brought them is already gone.
COD returns eat the margin
An unconfirmed cash-on-delivery order ships, gets refused at the door, and you pay freight both ways on a sale that never existed.
"Where is my order" floods support
The single most common message your team answers, over and over, with information already in the system.
Repeat purchase is left to chance
A consumable runs out on a predictable schedule and nobody is there at the right moment.
What the AI sales agent does
Brings the cart back
A WhatsApp nudge with the actual items, timed to when it still matters
Confirms COD before dispatch
A real confirmation on WhatsApp so unconfirmed orders do not go out the door
Answers order status instantly
Tracking, delivery window and courier detail pulled live, without a human
Handles returns and exchanges
Initiates the flow your policy allows, escalates anything outside it
Recommends and upsells
Size, variant and bundle guidance based on what is actually in stock
Times the repeat purchase
Reorder prompts on the consumption cycle of the product they actually bought
How the AI sales agent gets built
-
01
Store and WhatsApp connected
Shopify or WooCommerce wired to the WhatsApp Business API under your brand.
-
02
Flows built per journey
Cart recovery, COD confirmation, order status, returns and reorder — each with its own logic and stop rules.
-
03
Live with approved templates
Meta templates submitted under your account, opt-in captured properly, frequency capped.
-
04
Tuned on real outcomes
Recovery, confirmation and deflection rates reviewed weekly against your own baseline.
What we will not let it do.
Most of this category sells an outcome it does not control. We would rather show you the rules the build is held to — every one of these is written into the scope, tested before go-live, and yours to change afterwards.
- Message frequency is capped by design. An agent that messages a customer too often costs you the WhatsApp channel entirely, which is a much bigger loss than a recovered cart.
- Opt-in and opt-out are handled properly on every flow, and an opt-out is respected across all flows rather than just the one it came from.
- The agent quotes stock, price and delivery from your live store data — it does not answer from a cached assumption that has since changed.
- Anything involving a refund, a policy exception or an escalating complaint routes to a person rather than being decided by the agent.
Worth building — and worth not building.
A build at the wrong moment is worse than no build. If the right-hand column describes you, say so on the call and we will tell you what to do instead.
Build this if
- You ship a meaningful share of orders on cash on delivery
- You run Shopify, WooCommerce or a storefront with a usable API
- Order volume is high enough that support messages are a real cost
- You can capture WhatsApp opt-in at checkout
Do not build this yet if
- Your monthly order volume is small enough to handle by hand
- You are prepaid-only with negligible cart abandonment
- You want high-frequency promotional broadcasts — that is not this
Everything in a D2C agent build
- Shopify or WooCommerce integration with the WhatsApp Business API
- Abandoned cart recovery flow with item detail and timing logic
- COD confirmation flow gated before dispatch
- Live order status, tracking and delivery-window answers
- Returns and exchange initiation within your stated policy
- Reorder prompts timed to product consumption cycles
- Meta template drafting, submission and approval tracking
- Opt-in capture, global opt-out handling and frequency caps
- Reporting view: recovery rate, COD confirmation rate, support deflection
- Documented SOPs and full credentials handed to you at close
What we need from you: roughly one to two hours a week during the build — access to the accounts involved, a look at how the work is done today, and written sign-off on what the agent may say. Pass-through costs: telephony minutes, WhatsApp conversation charges and model usage are billed to you directly by those providers at their own rates. We do not resell or mark them up, and we size them against your real volume in the written scope.
It has to fit the stack you already run.
- Store
- Shopify, WooCommerce, custom storefronts via API
- WhatsApp / BSP
- Meta WhatsApp Business API, AiSensy, Interakt, Gupshup, WATI

Anything else with a documented API or webhook can be connected — the connectors are named in the written scope, and anything discovered later is priced before it is built.
Two ways to start.
Agent builds are scoped and priced individually — the figure moves with channel count, integration count, volume and how much logic sits behind the conversation. Published pricing for the four engines is on the Engagements page and is a fair guide to the order of magnitude. The audit produces a written scope and a written price, and both are yours to keep.

Scoped against India's DPDP Act. Records sit in accounts you own, with retention rules you set. Your data is not used to train third-party models.

Everything the agent may say about price, scope and commitments is approved by you in writing before launch, and changeable afterwards.

AI sales agent for Shopify — what founders ask first
On Indian D2C the two biggest leaks are abandoned carts and unconfirmed cash-on-delivery orders. The agent works both on WhatsApp — bringing carts back with the actual items, and confirming COD orders before they ship — and absorbs the order-status messages that otherwise flood support.
Yes, and with WooCommerce and custom storefronts through their APIs. Stock, price, order and tracking data are read live rather than from a cached copy.
Before an order is dispatched, the customer gets a WhatsApp message asking them to confirm. Unconfirmed orders can be held, flagged or routed to a human call depending on the rule you set — so you are not paying two-way freight on orders that were never real.
No, and this is deliberate. Frequency is capped, opt-in is captured properly, and an opt-out on one flow applies across all of them. Over-messaging costs you the WhatsApp channel entirely, which is a far bigger loss than any single recovered cart.
No. It can initiate a return or exchange within the policy you have stated, but refunds, policy exceptions and escalating complaints route to a person.
Yes, and mixed Hindi-English, which is how most Indian customers actually message. Other Indian languages are available.
Templates are drafted, submitted and tracked through approval under your own WhatsApp Business account as part of the build, rather than left to you to work out afterwards.
You do, directly to Meta or your Business Solution Provider at their published rates. We do not resell or mark those up.
Start there if you have not — genuinely. The apps handle broadcast and basic cart reminders well, and if that recovers what you need, you do not need a build. Where they stop is COD confirmation logic gated against dispatch, live stock and tracking answers pulled from your store rather than a cached copy, frequency governance across flows so an opt-out on one applies to all, and returns handling inside your actual policy. This build is for stores that outgrew the app.
That is the risk we design against, because losing the channel costs far more than any single recovered cart. Frequency is capped, opt-in is captured properly at checkout, and an opt-out on one flow applies across all of them. If your instinct is to message customers more often than that allows, this build will frustrate you and you should say so on the call.
Meta bills you per WhatsApp conversation at published rates, your BSP bills its own subscription, and model usage is billed per message — all pass-through, none marked up, all sized against your real order volume in the written scope. After the 90-day tuning window the flows, the templates, the opt-out list and the credentials are yours. Ongoing support is a separate arrangement.
